Best Places to Celebrate the 4th This Year Around Austin!

                Will Taylor

The 4th of July events in the greater Austin area are always incredible. Lakeway hosts their famous Old-Fashioned celebration every year. The celebration is 3 days packed full of fireworks, food, and fun. The fireworks kick off the weekend Friday in the Rough Hollows/Highlands neighborhood. You do not want to miss this spectacular weekend!

If you live near the Bee Cave area, the Hill Country Galleria is also hosting a 4th of July celebration and fireworks show. Live music will start at 6:30 pm featuring two local bands. There will be multiple kids activities, food, and the “best fireworks show in Central Texas”.

Downtown Austin also hosts several 4th of July events. The Austin Symphony is hosting the H-E-B Austin Symphony Concert and Fireworks show at 8 pm at Vic Mathias Shores At Lady Bird Metro Park. They will play all of the symphonic patriotic classics during the fireworks display over the city skyline.

Musician Bob Schnieder is back for the Independence Bash at the Nutty Brown Amphitheater! The show will be followed by a fireworks show of course. Tickets can be purchased here.

No matter what area of town you live in, the celebrations are going to be bigger than ever this year! Enjoy your holiday!
