Take a look at what to expect at The Grumpy Grouper in Lake Travis.
About The Grumpy Grouper
You can find this popular new saloon and grill over at 1113 Ranch Road 620 where you used to see the Detour Bar & Grill. It’s right in between Hudson Bend Middle School and Lake Travis Elementary featuring indoor and outdoor seating.
Head outdoors during beautiful weather days where you can stay in the shade or choose to sit indoors where there is a huge area for seating, games, and big screens. You’ll love watching the game on one of the many TVs while playing a round of pool or foosball.
What to expect
If you’re headed there on a Friday or Saturday night, you’ll likely see the stage rocking with live music as you enter the venue. Live music hits the stage on the left side of the room every Friday and Saturday night starting at 9pm and lasting until 1am. The best part is they are featuring local musicians that want to show off their talent to Lake Travis locals like you. They feature local artists like Dawn Maracle and Carl Hutchens, a few of the regulars.
You’ll likely eat your dinner while enjoying some rock-n-roll, country, jazz, or a variety of other genres. Since the owner of this local restaurant doesn’t want anyone to miss out on the fun, there is no cover charge to enjoy live music here. If you stop in during the week and it happens to be the last Tuesday of the month, you’ll get to see Songwriters Across Texas filming their show here which focuses on getting the music out and showcasing local musicians.
The menu
Along with the entertainment bringing the crowds in more than anything, people are also drawn to The Grumpy Grouper for the delicious grub.
