Which Wineries Are Found Near Lake Travis?
If you enjoy wine, there's nothing better than a tasting, tour and some bottles from a local winery to take home with you. There are several great wineries found throughout the Lake Travis area. Here's a look at some of the best.
Perissos Vineyards and Winery - 7214 Park Road 4 West, Burnet
More than 1,200 feet of vineyards welcome you as you arrive at Perissos Vineyards and Winery. You can come in to try the wines and enjoy the tasting room. It's only open from Friday through Sunday from 12pm to 5pm and the tasting free is $15. However, if you buy three or more bottles, you get your tasting free back.
They also offer cheese and fruit places for purchase with your tasting. You can bring a small picnic if you want and they do welcome children and well-mannered pets on leashes.
Fall Creek Vineyards - 1820 CR 222, Tow
Since 1975, Fall Creek has been known as a top vineyard in The Texas Hill Country. They are a top spot for weddings and other events with an Inn on the property. Fall Creek also offers Friday night flights, special events for holidays and plenty more.
The winery is open from 11am to 5pm Monday through Saturday and from 12pm to 4pm on Sundays. Tours are done by appointment only. They also offer a Driftwood location open from 11am to 7pm, Monday through Saturday and from 12pm to 5pm on Sundays. The Driftwood location is found at 18059A FM 1826 in Driftwood.
Flat Creek Estate - 24912 Singleton Bend East Road Unit #1, Marble Falls
A 20-acre facility with Rhone, Portuguese Port and Italian grapes, this winery provides an old-world tasting room and a 5,000 case winery. It's found just to the west of Austin, Texas in the Hill Country.
Flat Creek offers guided wine tasting, dining at The Bistro or The Enoteca, Disc Golf and more. You can go on a vineyard walk, enjoy lunch or dinner or just come for a glass of wine.
Wine tastings are available from Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Dining at the Bistro is available from 11am to 4pm, on Thursday and Sunday and from 11am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday. Dining is also available at The Enoteca from 11am to 9pm every day but Monday. If you want to play disc golf, it's available Tuesday through Thursday and on Sunday from 9am to 5pm and on Friday and Saturday from 9am to dark.
